whaha, finally the weather is changing from summer to autumn and we are playing Mice & mystics again. I painted the miniatures myself and I forgot how tiny and detailed they were. Here are some really bad focussed pictures. The painting was so much fun, I am thinking about buying and painting a new set. I have better paint available and would like to see how the mice look in lighter colours.

Today I had a few hours available and jumped to a bigger project. Normaly I have little time and grab some paper and stamps and markers and stick to small cards or small projects, which can be finished in an hour. But not today; Today I took out paperscraps, paints, fabric, glue, beads, pens, markers, more paper, glitter and some other small odds and ends and spent perfect time with my used-to-be-boring bookend.

Here is the bookend before picture:

And this is the bookend after, much more interesting.

This year we have a long drive planned to our holiday location in France. To entertain the children during this long drive, I made some project life cards for them to color in. They will make a nice addition to the project life pages.

For some time I wanted to try making small resin pieces and yes, i finally tried it and succeeded (sort off). This stuff is tricky! The house smelled like an army had there nailpolish extravaganca in our livingroom. Resin is also sticky and not alcohol or waterbased, surfaces need to be cleaned with aceton. That being said, my daughter and I made some cool items. We used icecube and cupcake silicon molds, poured in raisin (after mixing the 2 components) and added beads, stickers, flakes and of course glitter. It took 24 hours for the raisin to harden and we are currently in de process of adding hooks and rings to make pendants.

I found everything I needed to know and really nice tutorials on youtube.

My daugther kept asking what dayof the week it was and with whom she would spend the day. So I made here a day-of-the week calender, which she decorated herself. One tag for every day of the week. We took polaroids with references as what happens every monday, tuesday, etc. It works very well, by turning the tags, she knows whats going to happen.

While I was at it, I also made two gift tags. For the stamps (stamp set by Lawnfawn) I used a very light colour ink and Copic markers.
